“How can a bloke from the USA make a handful of short films ‘Italian Style’ and almost out Italian the Italians?” -Jay Creepy (
SeveredCinema)
Chris Milewski is an an indie filmmaker from the USA that produces short films under the banners of Filmiracle Productions and Sidd Web Productions. His works -- moreso diamonds in the rough by his own admission -- are typically influenced by the Italian horror films of the 70s-80s, but there are also a good bit of experimental / art films in the mix. Most influenced by Italian masters Joe D'Amato (the best!) and Lucio Fulci -- with a dash of sloppiness a la Jess Franco -- his goal is to achieve the atmosphere of yesteryear, thus avoiding the commercial and contemporary trends of today. Besides handling most of the production duties, notably behind a slew of pseudonyms, he also composes most of the musical scores pulling inpsiration from Marcello Giombini, Fabio Frizzi, Nico Fidenco, Piero Umiliani, Egisto Macchi, Ennio Morricone, Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, Bruno Nicolai, and beyond, As of 2025, he continues to produce and direct.
Milewski has also contributed to several other non-Filmiracle projects in one way or another for which information can found on
IMDb. He is always open to working with others that might share a similar vision and can be reached at filmiracle [at] yahoo [dot] com.

Chris Milewski talks about the production of HOUSE OF THE BLACK CAT. Incidentally, because there is a THE TRUE STORY OF THE NUN OF MONZA poster in the background, it must be said that the film is unquestionably Bruno Mattei's best. |
